Make Razia Bibi’s Life Vibrant Again With Eye Surgery
Razia Bibi's Story
Meet Razia Bibi, a 59-year-old woman from Lahore, who is experiencing cloudy and dim vision. She faces extreme challenges while carrying out activities such as walking in the dark and recognizing faces. Due to the reduced vision, it has become difficult for her to walk around the home without bumping into things. She went to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with a cataract in her left eye. A cataract is the clouding of the natural lens of the eye. To restore her ability to see the world again, the doctor recommended Phaco + IOL surgery. Unfortunately, Razia’s family can’t afford her surgery.
Razia misses the time when she could take care of her children, cook meals, and maintain her home. If left untreated, the cataract may slowly get worse. It will ultimately increase the risk of blindness.
Razia lives in a small brick house with her husband and six children. Her husband and son are farmers and their meager monthly incomes cover their necessities only. They barely manage to pay for utility bills, groceries, and other living expenses. They have no savings at all to pay for the surgery and they feel helpless. During this challenging time, Razia contacted Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.
Razia Bibi expressed her emotions as follows:
“I have lost touch with life and my decreased vision has made my world dark. I need your support to get rid of this darkness. Kindly help me as much as you can and give me a chance to live life fully again.”
Without cataract surgery, Razia will face a lot of challenges in her life.
Razia wants to change her life, and for this, she desperately needs your support. We urge you to come forward and donate to bring colors back into her life.
