You Secured Zohan’s Future with Eye Surgery

Muhammad Zohan, a 4-year-old boy from Multan, had faced vision impairment since birth. Simple activities such as recognizing faces, playing with toys, or navigating familiar surroundings had been difficult for him. This condition slowed down his development and limited his ability to enjoy the joys of childhood. Worried about his condition, Zohan’s parents took him to a local hospital, hoping to find answers. After a thorough medical examination and a series of tests, the doctor diagnosed him with a cataract in his left eye. His doctor advised LMA + IOL surgery to restore his vision completely. Sadly, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s reach.

Zohan lived in a small rented house with his parents. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer, earning only PKR 30,000 per month. With such a limited income, the family barely managed to meet their everyday needs. Despite their best efforts, they found themselves unable to arrange the money required for Zohan’s second surgery. During their time of need, Zohan’s family reached out to Transparent Hands for support. With the help of kind donors, we were able to provide him with much-needed treatment.

On February 10, 2025, Zohan was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital in Multan. Dr. Hassan successfully performed the LMA + IOL surgery on February 13, 2025. Zohan was discharged in a stable condition on the same day.
