You Restored Tayyab’s Health Through Tonsillectomy

Muhammad Tayyab, a 14-year-old boy from Karachi, had been suffering from recurrent bouts of sore throat and high-grade fever for the past year. Activities like eating and swallowing were significantly challenging for him. His illness also affected his ability to focus on his studies at a religious seminary. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing necessary tests and examinations, the doctor diagnosed Tayyab with Chronic Tonsillitis. To alleviate his pain and discomfort, his doctor advised tonsillectomy. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s means.

Tayyab lived in a small home with his joint family of fourteen members. His father is a teacher at a seminary, and his brother holds a private job. Together, they manage to bring in just PKR 40,000 per month. A significant portion of his income goes towards their utility bills, food, and educational expenses. After covering these essentials, they were left with nothing to set aside for Tayyab’s life-changing surgery. After struggling for a while, the family found Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. After listening to their concerns, we swiftly registered Tayyab’s case.

On August 11, 2025, Tayyab was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. His surgery was scheduled for the same day. Dr. Mubashir Abdul Razzak expertly performed his tonsillectomy. Tayyab received essential post-operative care and was discharged in good health on August 12, 2025.
