Let’s Ensure a Safe Delivery for Bisam with a C-section
Bisam Raja's Story
Meet Bisam Raja, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, who is over 34 weeks pregnant. Her medical history includes one child born with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and another who passed away in the early neonatal period. Bisam is now expecting her fifth child (G5P4+0), and her gynecologist has strongly recommended a C-section for a safe delivery. Unfortunately, the surgical cost is overwhelming for her family.
If this surgery is delayed or not performed, both Bisam and her unborn child are at serious risk of life-threatening complications. It may lead to fetal distress, uterine rupture, or stillbirth.
Bisam’s husband works as a laborer in a foreign country and sends around PKR 35,000 per month to support his family in Pakistan. She lives in a rented house with their four children, including the one who is affected by CP and requires continuous care. Their monthly rent is PKR 8,000, and they pay utility bills amounting to PKR 10,000. In addition, the couple pays PKR 1,600 monthly for their children’s madrasa education. On top of all this, the family is burdened with a loan of PKR 100,000, which makes managing their basic household needs extremely difficult.
Despite her husband’s hard work, the family’s financial condition is stretched thin. Bisam said in despair:
“I have suffered so much loss already. I just want to bring my baby safely into the world. However, without your help, I don’t know how I’ll manage this surgery. I request you to kindly support me in undergoing this C-section.”
Bisam needs your support to deliver her baby safely. Your contribution can save two lives and protect a mother from experiencing another heartbreaking tragedy.

Bisam Raja's Story
Bisam Raja, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, faced a challenging and emotional stage of her pregnancy. She was preparing to welcome her fifth child. One of her children was born with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and requires continuous care, while another child sadly passed away in the early neonatal period. With this background, her gynecologist strongly recommended a C-section to ensure a safe delivery and protect both mother and baby. However, the cost of the C-section was beyond her financial means.
Bisam’s husband works as a laborer in a foreign country and sends home around PKR 35,000 each month. She lives in a rented house with her four children. They are hardly managing household expenses, rent, and the medical needs of her child with CP on this limited income. Due to their financial constraints, her family was unable to afford the cost of her necessary surgery. At this difficult time, Bisam reached out to Transparent Hands for help. After reviewing her case, we registered her for assistance.
On July 10, 2025, Bisam was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Farkhanda Saeed. Bisam delivered a healthy baby girl, bringing immense joy and relief to her entire family. Both mother and child recovered well, and Bisam was discharged in stable condition on July 13, 2025.
With tears of gratitude, Bisam expressed her emotions as follows: “I was worried day and night about my delivery and the safety of my baby. Due to financial struggles, I could not arrange the surgery on my own. Your support gave me strength, hope, and a safe delivery. I am extremely thankful for your kindness.”
Bisam is now recovering at home, cherishing every moment with her newborn daughter. The safe delivery has brought her peace of mind and happiness after years of painful experiences. This blessing was only possible because of your generosity, which gave her and her family comfort and hope during their most critical time.
