Samina Bibi's Story

Samina Bibi, a 35-year-old woman from Karachi, is over 32 weeks pregnant and anxiously waiting for the safe arrival of her baby. Due to her previous medical history involving two C-sections, her current pregnancy (G2P3+A0) is considered high-risk. Her gynecologist has advised her to undergo an elective C-section to prevent life-threatening complications. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her financial means.

Without this essential surgery, both Samina and her unborn child are at risk of serious health issues such as uterine rupture and heavy bleeding. These complications can put both her and her baby’s lives in danger.

Samina’s family is struggling to make ends meet. Her husband, a dedicated school teacher, earns just PKR 30,000 per month. He is the only breadwinner for a household of seven members.
