Faiza Amir's Story
Faiza Amir, a 29-year-old woman from Karachi, is currently pregnant with her third child. She is 26 weeks pregnant and consults a gynecologist regularly. Since she has a history of two previous C-sections, her doctor has advised a third C-section for a safe and healthy delivery. Faiza and her family were initially overjoyed at the thought of welcoming a new baby. However, their happiness quickly turned into anxiety because they are unable to pay for the surgery.
Given her medical history, attempting a natural delivery can put both Faiza and her baby at serious risk. Complications such as obstructed labor, fetal distress, excessive bleeding or uterine rupture may occur. A C-section is the safest way forward.
Faiza lives in a modest two-room brick house with her husband, elderly parents, and two children. Her husband works at a private company and earns PKR 35,000 per month, which barely covers the family’s essential needs. They spend PKR 10,000 on utility bills and PKR 1,100 on education, along with the ongoing expenses of groceries and basic living costs. On top of this, the family is burdened by a loan of PKR 150,000, making it impossible for them to save anything for Faiza’s surgery. During this moment of need, Faiza and her family have turned to Transparent Hands.

Unfortunately, the cost of the C-section was out of her family’s financial capacity.
Faiza lives in a modest two-room brick house with her husband, elderly parents, and two children. Her husband works at a private company, earning PKR 35,000 per month. This limited income barely meets the family’s monthly needs, including food and utility bills. With no savings left after covering necessities, arranging money for her surgical delivery seemed impossible. The growing stress of being unable to afford the procedure significantly affected Faiza, leaving her anxious about her and her baby’s well-being. During their search for help, Faiza’s family reached out to Transparent Hands. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.
With the generous support of donors, Faiza was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi on August 12, 2025. On the same day, her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Farkhanda Saeed. Faiza safely delivered a baby boy. She received essential post-operative care and was discharged in good health on August 14, 2025.
Faiza expressed her happiness as follows:
