Change Yaman’s Life with Cardiac Surgery
Muhammad Yaman's Story
Muhammad Yaman, a 6-year-old boy from Malakand, KPK, has been battling with breathlessness and chest discomfort since the day he was born. While most children of his age run, play, and laugh without worry, Yaman struggles just to catch his breath. Watching him live with such limitations has been heartbreaking for his family. Concerned for his worsening health, his parents took him to a local hospital. After performing several diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Yaman with a complex heart condition — Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Stenosis (PS). These structural defects in his heart are the cause of his symptoms and limit the proper flow of blood and oxygen in his body. His doctor has strongly advised Total Correction through open-heart surgery.
Without surgery, Yaman’s condition will worsen rapidly. He may face life-threatening complications like heart failure, infections, or permanent damage to his lungs.
Yaman lives in a modest rented house with his parents and five siblings. His father works as a daily wage laborer and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. With such a meager income, it is difficult for the family to even cover basic necessities like rent, food, and utility bills. The news of their son’s need for surgery has left them anxious and helpless. During this challenging time, Yaman’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
His mother shared with tearful eyes:
“Every night I pray for my son’s recovery. I just want him to run and play like other children. However, we can’t afford the cost of the surgery. Please save our child’s life.”

Muhammad Yaman's Story
Muhmmad Yaman, a 6-year-old boy from Malakand, KPK, had been experiencing breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Yaman was unable to grow properly, and he couldn’t run and play like other kids. Worried about his health, his parents took him to a doctor at a local hospital. After performing a series of tests and examinations, the doctor diagnosed Yaman with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Stenosis (PS). To save his life, the doctor advised open-heart surgery for total correction. However, her family couldn’t afford his surgery.
Yaman lived in a rented home with his parents and five siblings. His father, the sole provider for the family, worked as a laborer and made just PKR 20,000 per month. With this limited income, they barely managed their house rent, utility bills, as well as food expenses. Facing financial hardships, they were unable to pay for his surgery. During this hard time, they reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
With the generous support of donors, Yaman was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore on June 29, 2025. The next day, Dr. Asim Khan successfully performed his heart surgery and corrected the defect in his heart. Yamna received proper post-operative care and was discharged in good health on July 3, 2025.
Yaman’s parents expressed their gratitude as follows:
“Our son had been struggling since birth, and every day we feared for his future. We could not afford such an expensive surgery, but your kindness gave him a new life. Today, he breathes easily, plays without discomfort, and smiles again. We are immensely grateful to you for supporting his surgery.”
After the successful open-heart surgery, Muhammad Yaman is now recovering well at home.
