Meet Maryam Bibi, a 26-year-old woman from Multan, who is battling with blurry and hazy vision. As a housewife and mother to her young child, Maryam finds it increasingly challenging to manage her daily responsibilities. Simple tasks such as preparing meals, taking care of her child, or attending public gatherings have become increasingly difficult due to her impaired eyesight. Recently, her condition worsened, leading her to seek medical advice. After an extensive examination at a local hospital, the doctor confirmed that she had a cataract in her left eye. To restore her vision, the recommended treatment is Phaco + IOL surgery. Unfortunately, the financial burden of this procedure is overwhelming for her family.

Maryam’s emotional state has deteriorated as well. She feels frustrated and isolated, unable to participate fully in her child’s life. The family struggles to make ends meet, often having to choose between basic necessities and saving for emergencies. Due to their financial constraints, the cost of Maryam’s surgery feels unattainable.
