Anaya Yasin Awaits Cardiac Surgery to Survive
Anaya Yasin's Story
Anaya Yasin, a 2-year-old girl from Shakargarh, has been battling with serious health challenges since the day she was born. She has suffered from persistent shortness of breath and repeated episodes of chest infections. Even mild to moderate physical activity leaves little Anaya exhausted, struggling to breathe, and unable to keep up with other children of her age. Concerned about her worsening condition, her parents recently took her to the hospital for a thorough evaluation. After performing a series of tests and examinations, the doctors diagnosed Anaya with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). These are congenital heart defects that cause abnormal blood flow in the heart. The doctor has strongly recommended ASD and VSD closure surgery to correct these defects and allow Anaya’s heart to function properly. However, her family can’t afford the surgery.
Without timely surgical intervention, Anaya’s condition will continue to deteriorate. She will face worsening heart function, increased risk of heart failure, chronic lung infections, and severe developmental delays.
Anaya lives with her parents and two siblings in her grandparents’ home. Her father works as a laborer and is the sole breadwinner in the family, bringing home just PKR 25,000 per month. The family struggles to cover their essential needs, including PKR 4000 for the children’s educational expenses and PKR 800 for utility bills. Given their financial situation, affording the high cost of Anaya’s life-saving heart surgery is simply out of reach for them.
Anaya’s parents expressed their heartfelt plea as follows:
“We want to see our little girl run, laugh, and live without pain. Every day, we pray for someone to help Anaya undergo the surgery. We request you to save Anaya’s life and give her the future she deserves.”
This is where your help can make all the difference. With your generous support, Anaya can undergo the surgery to survive and thrive. Through this surgery, she can breathe freely, play without fear, and live a healthy life.
Join us in bringing hope and healing to Anaya Yasin.

Anaya Yasin's Story
Anaya Yasin, a 2-year-old girl from Shakargarh, had been experiencing breathlessness and repeated chest infections since birth. Simple activities like crying, playing and feeding made her breathless. Upon noticing her condition, her parents took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed Anaya with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). To save her life, the doctor advised ASD and VSD closure surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was overwhelming for her family.
Anaya lives in a modest home with her parents and two siblings. Her father, the sole provider for the family, works as a laborer and earns just PKR 25,000 per month. With this meager income, it was challenging for the family to cover their household expenses including utility bills, educational expenses and food expenses. The family was surviving in extreme poverty and couldn’t pay for Anaya’s life-saving surgery. Their neighbors became a source of hope for them when they told them about Transparent Hands. Anaya’s parents turned to us and asked us to register her case.
With the generous support of donors, Anaya was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital on July 10, 2025. She received pre-operative care, and her surgery was scheduled for the following day. Dr. Faiz Rasool expertly performed her surgery and repaired the defects in her heart. Anaya received essential post-operative care in the ICU and was discharged in satisfactory condition on July 14, 2025.
Anaya’s parents said with tears of joy in their eyes: “We are overwhelmed with pleasure after seeing our daughter’s recovery from a heart disease. We are deeply grateful to you for coming forward to help us during this most difficult time. Your kindness has given our daughter a second chance at life, and we are extremely thankful to you and the Pakistan Children's Heart Foundation.”
Today, Anaya is recovering well, and her breathing has improved. She can now move and feed without feeling breathless. Her parents are thankful to you for your generous support.
