Ease Sunny Kumari’s Pain Due to Gallstones
Sunny Kumari's Story
For the past four years, Sunny Kumari, a 14-year-old girl from Mirpur Khas, Sindh, has been suffering from upper right abdominal pain. She experiences repeated episodes of nausea and vomiting after every meal, making it difficult for her to enjoy a healthy diet at such a young age. Her illness has not only affected her appetite but also her ability to perform daily tasks and concentrate on her studies. Concerned for her well-being, her parents took her to a nearby hospital for a medical consultation. After a thorough evaluation, including an ultrasound scan and lab tests, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis (gallstones). It is a condition marked by the formation of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. The doctor has advised a cholecystectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder.
If left untreated, her condition may significantly deteriorate. She may face serious complications such as gallbladder infection, bile duct obstruction, or even damage to surrounding organs.
Sunny lives in a small house with her parents and three siblings. Her father works as a laborer, earning a modest income of PKR 15,000 per month. He is the sole breadwinner of the family, supporting three school-going children, including Sunny. With rising living expenses, affording the surgery is far beyond their reach.
“I feel pain almost every day and can’t eat like other girls of my age. It’s hard to go to school or even sit for long. I just want to feel better and live a normal life again,” said Sunny Kumari with tear-filled eyes.
This young girl deserves a chance to live a pain-free and healthy life. Your kind donations can make that possible. By contributing to her surgery, you will improve her quality of life.
Let’s join hands to ease Sunny’s suffering.

Sunny Kumari's Story
Sunny Kumari, a 14-year-old girl from Mirpur Khas, Sindh, had been suffering from upper right abdominal pain for the past four years. Each meal triggered episodes of nausea and vomiting, making it difficult for her to eat properly and weakening her body over time. Worried about her deteriorating health, her parents took her to a local hospital. After conducting an ultrasound scan and necessary lab tests, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis (gallstones), a condition in which solid deposits form inside the gallbladder. The doctor strongly recommended a cholecystectomy to prevent further complications such as infections or blockages.
Sunny lives with her parents and three siblings in a modest home. Her father, the sole breadwinner, earns just PKR 15,000 per month as a laborer, an amount barely enough to meet household needs. The financial burden placed the family in a helpless situation, leaving them unable to arrange treatment for their daughter. During this time of need, Sunny’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands for help. After listening to their concerns, we registered her case.
On July 17, 2025, Sunny was admitted to Isra University Hospital, Hyderabad. Dr. Aftab Ahmad Soomro successfully performed her laparoscopic cholecystectomy. After post-operative care and monitoring, Sunny was discharged in satisfactory condition on July 19, 2025.
Sunny’s parents expressed their gratitude as follows: “We are deeply thankful to all the donors who supported Sunny’s surgery. She can now eat without pain and focus on her studies again. You significantly changed her life, and we will never forget your kindness.”
Sunny’s life has taken a new turn after surgery. She is now free from pain and able to enjoy her meals without discomfort.
Her recovery was only made possible because of your kindness. Sunny’s family is immensely thankful to you for making a valuable difference in her life.
